Brief: Narrative Part 1: Write a story based on a specific personal experience that is somehow connected to the theme ‘belief’. Part 2: Express the story as a physical ‘book’. Identify a clear ‘purpose,’ and explore how visual elements contribute to the construction of a narrative.
Solution: To bring comfort to the reader, and encourage them to try and help them through the grieving process after loosing a loved one.

Using a sophisticated, minimalist and familiar design, so the reader isn’t distracted from the story and it’s message, I created two books. The first is from my perspective, describing when I discovered how my family remembers relatives that have passed away. The second is from the perspective of a feather.
My family and I associate objects or animals with family and friends who've passed away. It helps us come to terms with grief and remember them in a positive and uplifting manner.
The tradition started with grey feathers. This is the reasoning behind the perspective in the second book. It is as important for the feather to be collected as it is for me to collect it.
